Beer aficionados Rick Mohabir and Colin Jack have done it once again. On Saturday afternoon, the pair hosted the Canada Cup of Beer, a one day beer festival, at UBC’s Thunderbird Stadium.
With over 30 vendors on site and at least 150 beers to sample and this year, the event gave a complete view of what’s available to enjoy here in BC, including import beer, micro brews and of course the national brands.
There’s lots of photos online in our photo galleries, check them out on flickr, HERE.

On Thursday, we checked out a very special preview of Provence Mediterranean Grill’s Farm Fresh Picnics.
For a limited time, Provence Mediterranean Grill is offering an opportunity for enthusiastic diners to go up to UBC’s Farm and pick various aspects of which will be assembled into a meal upon return to the restaurant.
For our trip, the results were extraordinary. We enjoyed a full menu featuring local and sustainable produce: Fairburn Farm Water Buffalo Mozarella Salad, Smoked Black Cod, Bison Tenderloin Confit and Strawberry Tartlette. The photos below speak for themselves.
You can find out more about Provence Mediterranean Grill which is located on West 10th Avenue near UBC, HERE. Don’t forget to join their preferred guest list.
